Client case study: West Sussex Growers Association

John has been a member of West Sussex Growers Association (WSGA) for around 40 years and is also past Chairman and past President for the Association.  

The Association represents the interests of Growers in West Sussex over a wide range of issues; including: local planning, infrastructure, research & development, water, education, skills and promotion.

For the last 8 years, John has been the Lead Consultant for the Association, liaising on behalf of WSGA with key organisations such as NFU, DEFRA, District and County Councils.

Nature’s perfect pollination process

On behalf of WSGA, he has been instrumental in producing a series of strategic papers for the Horticultural Industry, covering: Combined Horticultural Production and Energy Hubs, Labour and Transport surveys and Strategic Plans for the Association.

John continues with his consultancy as the Face of WSGA and has recently consulted with Highways England on plans to improve the A27 at Arundel, Chichester and Worthing.  Since the Brexit Referendum, John has been very active in representing WSGA Members views to local MPs, Defra and other Government departments.
